Meek and Humble
“Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine.”
These words come from one of the Church’s most beautiful prayers to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Christ Himself invites us to take His yoke upon us and learn from Him, because He is meek and humble of heart, promising rest for our souls. The Sacred Heart reminds us that the heart of Christ is not harsh or demanding. It burns with love, mercy, patience, and complete trust in the Father.
To be yoked to Christ means we no longer have to carry life by ourselves. We learn to move with Him, to surrender our pride, our anxiety, and our need to control everything. Little by little, His Heart begins to shape ours. We become gentler, more peaceful, more willing to trust, and more capable of loving the way He loves.
The flaming Sacred Heart in this design represents that invitation: stay close to His Heart, walk with Him, and let His Heart transform yours.
